we took the format of a styled shoot, put it on steroids, multiplied the creative direction by 100x and said, “we want input from everyone.”

A Canon Event transcends the average styled content shoot by instead providing a highly produced, story-driven experience from top to bottom for all participants—photographers, vendors, assistants, and cast members alike—who are challenged to push creative boundaries in their industries.

Each Canon Event is designed to intentionally foster collaboration and innovation at a large production scale through singular, narrative-driven events across the country with our top-tier vendors, cast members, production leads and attendees.

We only ever go to a city once and this year we are taking the Canon Event Experience to Charleston, South Carolina. Charleston has a reputation in the wedding industry as a space for luxury, refinement, and southern charm. We are thrilled to bring our immersive experience to push the boundaries of what is possible in a city that has an obvious set of expectations. This year we’re offering ONLY five (5) Two-Day Tickets and seven (7) Wednesday-Only Tickets. 

One hallmark of our Canon Events is that we bring in a full cast of characters who are invited to improv, act, and create moments on their own. Wedding Industry Photographers, Videographers, and Content Creators are able to capture real, organic or directed moments unfold in real time that give you the rush and challenge of a real wedding day experience. In each scene cast members are given direction based on attendee input to interact. This round we’re designing and casting two days of four uniquely crafted narratives: four fully styled wedding couples, 35+ styled cast members across all scenes, 7 unique set designs for up to 9 total scenes you’ll be able to capture. With over 75 creatives involved in production, design, vendors, cast, and only 12 attendee spots total. 

Tickets for all Canon Events are always available for photographers, videographers, and content creators at any stage of their wedding career.

Sarah is the owner of Sarah Elizabeth Photography is a full time wedding photographer based in Charleston, SC. Sarah loves to be creative and to think outside the traditional wedding norms and bring a new spin to the traditional Charleston wedding industry. A Canon Event was born out of a desire to bring life, creativity, and collaboration to the content event and retreat community, and to be so much more than a pretty portfolio building event. At A Canon Event Charlotte, Sarah is primarily in the role of event management and attendee coordination to connect with all the attendees to make each event a collaborative and community-driven.

Sarah will be your hype-girl, make sure you're well hydrated and fed, and make sure everyone gets a say and to be able to get creative during the event. Sarah is so excited to connect and create at Canon Event Charleston this fall!
