Chateau Nouvelle on June 10-11, 2024

In June of 2024, Wedding professionals from across the United States gathered in Houston, Texas to take part in A Canon Event an immersive experience seeking to inspire artistic collaboration in the luxury wedding industry. The two-day event was hosted at La Colombe d’Or and Chateau Nouvelle by South Carolina photographers Sarah Curfman of Sarah Elizabeth Photography (@sarah_elizabethphotog) and Anna Bullock of Anna Katherine Creative (@annakatherine.creative) with support from wedding planner Morgan Williams of Morgan Williams Weddings (@morganwilliamsweddings).

Fueled by a cinematic vision, the team conceptualized multiple complex fashion-forward scenes and encouraged all their vendors to prioritize nontraditional decision-making throughout their creative process.

A Canon Event provided vendors, cast members, videographers and photographers in attendance the opportunity to create and experience authentic narrative-driven moments and ambitious visual world building that seeks to reimagine the luxury wedding landscape for couples and wedding professionals everywhere.

What was included?

  • Small Intimate Group of Wedding Professionals — only 8 seats left.

  • Access to a private facebook group for attendees to best prepare for the retreat.

  • Zoom Screenwriting meeting with all attendees pre-retreat.

  • A 2-hour sunset pool shoot with stunning views of downtown Houston at La Colombe d’Or.

  • A full 9-hour art directed wedding day with multiple scenes, alternative timelines, luxury sculptural florals, unique attire styling, and a full intimate wedding cast ie: bride, groom, parent figures, wedding guests, etc. at Chateau Nouvelle. (We’ve got the entire Chateau to ourselves the whole time.) Lunch and dinner provided on June 13, 2024.

  • Join us in the heart of Houston, Texas for a casual editorial rooftop pool party shoot overlooking downtown.

    8pm -10pm – Rooftop Pool Photoshoot @ La Colombe d’Or

  • This will be a 12-9pm (YEP, that’s nine whole hours— Anna confirmed with finger counting), high-energy, flow state chasing kinda day as we bring our story to life. We’ll take breaks as needed but be prepared to fill up all your SD cards. We’ll end the night with a casual group dinner on site and a well deserved treat.
